Merry Christmas

A few months ago, I attended a training day organised by my upline Jayne Mercer.  It has taken me this long to photograph our projects!  Oh my!

A new product in the Idea Book & Catalogue is the 'shimmer paint' (pg. 143).  It is gorgeous!  You can see it being used on the project above.  See the bauble shimmer?!

You can see the shimmer better in this photo.  It is the first time I have used the shimmer paint and while it can be a bit messy, the end result is beautiful.

We made 4 projects this particular day so I will be back with more to show you.

On a personal note.....I thought I would share a photo of the kiddies.

This was taken this morning.  Oliver was not very well so was resting on his couch and Emily has taken to squishing in next to him.  LOL.  For her birthday, she got her own 'Tinkerbell' couch so she is enjoying her own freedom (or at least Oliver is!).  Nothing else will keep Em quiet but watching Tinkerbell.  Her face lights up if she see's Tinkerbell out at the shops.....it is funny to see.  Oliver will watch just about any movie anyway and he likes Tinkerbell too.

Christmas SAS

Wouldn't you know it......I typed this post 2 days ago and as I clicked on 'publish', it froze.  Only this tab froze.  I could still work on my other tabs so I left it for a while and came back to it, but it was still frozen......and no, I didn't save it.....so guess what?  Yep, I lost it.  Here's hoping I don't lose this one.

Anyway, I don't think I showed you the card my ladies made at last month's Christmas Stamp-a-stack class.

The medallion stamp is a big stamp.  I didn't like it at first but it is really growing on me more and more.  This card has no layers, just stamping and of course, some bling using dazzling diamonds.  LOL.
 

You can see the 'bling' better in this photo.  The quote is from the hostess set, "Occasional Quotes", level 3.

My trip to my parent's house yesterday was successful as I found my trimmer and ALL of my stamping stuff (phew!) as I had a class last night that I needed to prepare for.  So, I was in a mad rush cutting out my card stock yesterday afternoon.  Miss M had a great day with her nanny and poppy too.

Thanks So Much

These cards I made for all the Kindergarten teachers plus the ladies in the office at Oliver's previous school.  The three teachers also received a gift but I forgot to photograph them! Ooops. LOL

I wanted to use the new daffodil delight cardstock.  It is such a lovely yellow.  Not too bright, not too dull.

Wedding Card

Oliver's former teacher was getting married during the school holidays so on his last day, we wanted to give her a card.  Here it is.

I used the "love letter" DSP and the retired 'together forever' stamp set. 

Look at that bling!  LOL.  I love that you can now buy flat-back rhinestones.  You get 150 pieces and each rhinestone has adhesive on the back so it is easy to adhere to your projects.  Pretty good for $9.50.

Emily Turns 1

Oh my......look, my gorgeous, beautiful baby girl turned 1 !!  Happy Birthday Miss M!  Mwah.

What an amazing year it has been.

Here is Emily with her butterfly cake I made (with help from Sarah - thanks Sarah!).

.....and here is the result of Emily eating her cake (or the icing!!)  ROFLOL.  She had a great time at her party, as did all the other kids.

Awww, she is such a happy little girl and her smile is so warming.  I LOVE IT!  She smiles just about all of the time she is awake.  She LOVES her brother too and her face light's up when she see's him (bless).  Her big brother loves her back! 

The past few weeks have been very busy indeed!  While we are still unpacking, I have found SOME of my stamping stuff but I think a lot of it is at my parent's house (we had to store boxes there until we can go through them). I cannot find my paper trimmer so I'm assuming it is at my parent's house (fingers crossed!)  LOL.

We now have our internet up and running but I haven't been on the computer much as I wanted to be around for Oliver this week as he started his new school.  Day 1 didn't go so well, he shouted at is teacher!  Day 2.....he was throwing up so he ended up staying home and today, seemed to be a good day for him.  His attitude changed as well this afternoon when he got home and he even ate a sausage for dinner - that is a BIG thing for him!

It is now past my bedtime, so I'm going to call it a night.

Moving

I have limited internet access at the moment as we moved last weekend and our phone/internet won't be connected until the 11th.  We are also busy unpacking!!  Oh joy!  LOL
