Wow, it is the last week of school before the Easter holiday break - 2 weeks!!!  The school held their Cross Country last Friday and Oliver took part.  He was in the 6 year old (not sure why as he is only 5) race and he came 5th!

How gorgeous is this card!  It was one of the make 'n takes from the INKlings training day.

Everything (except for the base card stock) is from the Autumn/Winter Mini.  I absolutely LOVE the DSP (Cottage Wall). 

See those embossed dots.  Aren't they beautiful!

You Take The Cake

I hope you all had a great weekend.

Last Saturday, Oliver was invited to his friend Paige's birthday party at our local McDonald's.

He was one of 3 boys - the rest were girls!!  LOL.  He had a great time and didn't want to leave.

I was busy finishing off my swap cards for the INKlings training day when I suddenly realised I hadn't make a card for Paige - oooops.

My good friend Kari had sent me a beautiful card and I just had to CASE it.

Actually, this card is a sneak peak at something new - can you guess what it is?

Swap Cards

Here are my swap cards I made for the INKlings training day last Sunday.  The swaps I received were all gorgeous.  Well done girls!

This is another sneak peak at some brand new products which will be available from the 1st April (no, it is no April fools).

All 3 colours will be available in the Autumn/Winter Mini as well as the polka dot ribbon and the Top Note die.  The stamp set (Fifth Avenue Floral) is in the current Idea Book & Catalogue.

Not everyone was able to make swaps so I still have a few left over which I have decided to take to Convention (in May) this year.

Thank You Notes

Wow, I thought I had posted the thank you notes I made from Emily's christening - obviously NOT!!!

I kept them simple, just like the invitation.

I wanted to put this beautiful photo of my baby girl on the thank you note - after all, she is the one saying 'thank you'.  Emily did get some beautiful gifts too.

Last Sunday I went to the INKlings training day......what a great time I had too.  I made 35 swap cards but didn't get to swap all of them so I'll take them to convention in May!! I will post over the next week or so the make 'n takes made on the day.

Boxes

So, here are the boxes I made last weekend when I was on a roll!  All of the boxes are the same in instructions but are all sized differently.

You've seen my Easter box in my previous post!  This one is 8" square.

Now, you are probably wondering what happened to this box!  LOL.  It is put together the same way as the other boxes but instead of the end flaps being 90 degrees, I've left them at an angle and the tips of each corner meet in the middle (sorry the photo doesn't quite show what I am talking about).

This Best Wishes box is 5" square. 

I thought I would do something different with the handle - what do you think?  I scored about 2cm of each end of the handle to make it easier to fit in the corner. 

Just to make it more stable, I put brads on either side.  This box is 7" square.
 

My last box is a favourite colour scheme of mine!  

This box is 6" square.

It is Thursday night here in Sydney and we have movie night on Friday's for Oliver.  After a week at school, this is his treat.  He tell's us what he wants to watch (the past few weeks, it has been the Star Wars trilogy), but he's not always successful.  LOL.  There is only so much Ben 10 you can watch!!

3D Class Photos

Well, it was pretty grey when we woke up this morning but the sun is now shining brightly and Oliver is in the pool swimming while I am outside watching him typing up this post.  Gotta love wireless technology!!

Ok, so after a few hitches, I finally got to upload my photos. Yay!

This is what we will be making on Tuesday night - what do you think?

As you can see, I have decorated opposite sides of the box.  The box is 8" square and I've scored each side at 1.5".

How do you like my bunny?!  Cute hey!  I made him last year for Easter for Oliver and his friends.  You can see it HERE.

I will post all 4 boxes another day but I really wanted to get this one up so you could see what you are going to make.

3D Class

Evening all!

Summer is officially over and Autumn is here!  It has been raining non-stop since this afternoon and the weather at the moment is a little cooler than last night.  I found a spider in the middle of the kitchen area floor tonight.  It was only a little one but the rain does bring them out.  Mind you, it was 29 degress here.  We are still walking around in shorts and t-shirts but I haven't had the air-conditioning on for days now.

Hold onto your hats because I have actually made myself sit down and create tonight.  Well, I really needed to as I have my 3D class on Tuesday and had to make my sample (yes, I have left it to the last minute) :-).  So if you want to come along to my class, just let me know.  Places need to be reserved.

Now, you are wondering where the photo of the box is aren't you!  Well, as it is dark and photos are never any good taken at night, I'm afraid there is no photo to show you (boo hoo).  I will however, take one in the morning (no matter if the light is good or bad).

Actually, I have made 5 boxes tonight!  I wanted to make different sizes to see how different each would be.  I was on a roll and really didn't want to stop!  LOL

I thought I was going to lose my studio to make way for Emily having her own room during the week.  Oh my, 'where was I going to put everything' was my first question to myself!!  LOL.  Next option was for Oliver to share his room with her.  Then, hubby came up with putting Oliver into the spare room (which has a queen size bed) and putting Emily into Oliver's 'old' room.  So, that is what we did.  Oliver now sleeps in a 'big' bed.  We still have his toddler bed made up in Emily's room just in case we have visitors stay.  My friend Nicky gave us a cot/bed as her children are too big for it now and whilst we have a cot (Oliver's one), we cannot get a new mattress for it as it is one from the UK and the size is different!!!!  It was about a week later when I was talking to Nicky that she asked if I wanted her cot - I don't even think I told her about the mattress issues we had!  Thank you, thank you, thank you Nicky!!  Mwah!

So my studio is saved......now I just need to get off my butt and clear it up!  LOL.  I seem to have cleared every other room in the house but mine!

Now for a bit of a tease.....the new Autumn-Winter Mini is coming out......official release date is 1st April.  OH MY!!!  It has to be the BEST mini ever! There are lots of new goodies and accessories.  If you would like a copy of the mini sent to you in time for the 1st April release, email me and I will send you one.
