January SAS Class

Last night was my first Stamp-a-stack for the year.  My class was small but the 3 ladies that came were lovely and we all had a nice relaxing evening stamping away!

This is the first card we made.  I do love the Butterfly Prints stamp set.

You can see the butterfly is flying!

Here is the second card we made!  I decided to use a vibrant colour (Pacific Point) with Sahara Sand as the base.

Again, the centre butterfly is flying!  The great thing about the DSP is that it has two sides.  The stripes was one side and flowers were on the other side so the ladies decided to do half their cards using the striped side and the other using the flowers.

Next SAS class will be on the 15th February at 7:30pm at my house.  Let me know if you would like to join us either by email or telephone.

3D class will be held on the 8th February.

Cake Take Along

My friend Nicky gave me this.

This is what was inside!  Yummy chocolate fudge cake mix plus some ready made icing (not pictured!).  The cake mixture didn't last very long after Oliver saw it!!  LOL.  He helped me bake the cake and ice it too.  Bless him.

Secret Santa Gift

I forgot to post the gifts I received from my secret santa!  I wasn't able to join in last christmas and I didn't want to miss out this christmas.  So back in December, we gathered at Michelle's house for our annual Christmas dinner and we opened up our gifts too.  This is what was in my box of goodies......

This is just amazing and something I wasn't expecting.

This is just one month but EVERY month has 2 cards in it!!!  WOW.

 
All that were involved in the Secret Santa had to write down their wish list and the brayer was on my wish list!

How cute are these, cellophane bags of jelly beans!!

 
This jumbo wheel was also on my wish list - I was very lucky indeed.

 
......and the best present of all.....CHOCOLATE!!!!!!!!!  Of course the chocolate is half gone!

Emily's Christening Invitation

I finally completed Emily's christening invitation this week and here it is.

I decided to go pink and white and got the tag card idea from Nicole Heady.  It was so elegant and I loved the idea straight away and knew I was going to use it for the invitations.  As I needed to make 'a few' of them, this was also a quick and easy project. 

Here is a better view of the tag card.  Oh, I had 3 tag cards left and would you believe that I ran out of Pretty In Pink Taffeta Ribbon!!  Ohhhh Noooooooo.  Luckily, a fellow demonstrator Tracey, lives not far away and I was able to get some from her.  You are probably thinking, just buy some more.......my problem was that I was sending them the following day and delivery takes a few days.

I printed the front and the inside of the card on my computer in Pretty In Pink.  It took me a couple of goes to get it right, but once I had the template right, it was just a matter of feeding the card stock into the printer and viola!

I was really pleased with how the invitations turned out and I've had some lovely comments by those that have received them (mostly family so they are biased anyway!!  ROFLOL).

Posting Problems
