Another quick card I whipped up. I didn't realise that it was my friend's husband's birthday last week so when they invited us for drinks for his birthday.........well, I thought, we can't turn up there with nothing, so I made this card for him.
I used the Windsor Knot DSP and adhered it to chocolate chip cardstock then ran it through my paper crimper. TIP: if you want your strip to cover your base card, cut about a cm more (i.e. the width of the base card is 14.5cm, so cut your DSP and coordinating cardstock at approx 15.5cm or even a little more). As you can see, I have a small gap on each side but that was my "happy accident"! Who hasn't had them?!
I raised the sentiment with some dimensionals and wiped my inkpad (chocolate chip) around the edge. Yes, I have used this sentiment again - I told you it would get used a lot!! LOL
BLOG CANDY TIME: tell me about a "happy accident" you've had and I'll pick out 1 or maybe 2 winners. You've got until Friday (12th June) to play! I cannot wait to read your answers.
EDITED TO ADD: open to Australian residens ONLY!
Happy Stamping,
Hi Kylie,
It's certainly getting more wintery here in Canberra where I am on holidays. It was -6C the other night! What's it like where you are are?
A happy accident is like a "lucky break"! LOL! When I occasionally place my poseabilities bears Spellbinder too close to the edge of the paper and cut off a part of them, (usually an ear), I change my design so the bear is behind a shape or flowers stamped in a 3D layered style and the missing part appears to be 'hidden' and the bear looks like it is peeking around it. The bear and I are both look happy! LOL!
