I hope you all had a lovely Mother's Day last Sunday.
I had to take Oliver to a 5th Birthday party at McDonald's at 10am (I didn't know anybody there as it was a boy from Oliver's pre-school). Speaking to Karen (Zack's mum), we couldn't work out how Oliver got invited as the two boys don't even go to school on the same days! LOL. For whatever reason, Zack wanted to invite Oliver.
This is the card I made for my mum - well it is a flower pot card! I've seen a few around on blogs and just had to give it a go. I did make mine a bit bigger than the tutorial I found (which I now cannot find to link you to it!). I'm so sorry to the originator of this card for losing your link.
I used my crimper (I think for the first time!! *gasp*) on the leaves and then just cut them out freehand.
Here is the inside of the card. Very simple but I like it. Obviously, I wrote on it after taking this photo. *wink*
I also made a stand for the card. I wanted mum to be able to look at it like a normal card so I had to make something for her to be able to do that - a stand.
Happy Stamping,
Supplies
Stamps: Eastern Blooms, Occasional Greetings.
Ink: Pretty In Pink, Rose Red, Real Red.
Paper: Whisper White, Close To Cocoa, Certainly Celery, Raspberry Tart DSP.
Accessories: 1/4" Pretty In Pink Grosgrain Ribbon, White Gel Pen, 2-way Glue Pen, Dazzling Diamonds.
I apologise for the lighting in these photos. I was up until nearly midnight making this plus another card which I needed for the following day and I knew I wouldn't have time to take a photo in the morning.
Very nice Kylie, I have been thinking of something along those lines myself for a long time but have not done it yet.
Every Mother would love to receive a Mothers Day card like that, well done.
