Crazy For Cupcakes

I apologise for the delay in posting this week.  Rob started his new job on Tuesday (hooray!), so I need to get myself back into a routine for the mornings (I got Rob to take Oliver to pre-school - especially when I had morning sickness).  I had all good intentions of posting yesterday but my laptop died (dead as a door nail) and I couldn't log on to Rob's laptop for some reason - I think he did that on purpose!!  LOL.  So, now that he is at work, I had to wait for him to come home to fix things.  In the end, he set up one of the old pc's (yes, when you husband works in IT, you tend to have more pc's than you know what to do with!!) so obviously, I am now able to work again.  I really did feel lost yesterday with no communication with my online friends (sad I know!).  LOL.  But, I'm back!

Onto the card..........I knew I wanted this set when I saw it in the Idea Book & Catalogueand also previously on a number of USA blogs.  Now, purple is not my colour of choice when my hand dives into my cardstock, but I thought that seeing as I haven't really used the purple tones, that I should.  I also added black as you can see to make it more dramatic.

 

Do you like how the cupcakes sparkle?  I used some Crystal Effects on the stand (you can just see it shining).  I'm sending this card to my friend in the UK for her birthday.  I hope she likes it.
