It finally happened - I sat down at my desk and created today!
I'm afraid not an original by me but the very talented Teneale Williams. You may have seen Teleale's work published in many Australian paper-crafting magazines.
I needed to be inspired and I certainly was browsing her blog. I haven't done much paper piecing in the past but I loved doing this one. The hearts were a bit fiddly and time consuming so while hubby and the boy were out swimming, I stayed out of the heat and in the air conditioning to craft. I thought I deserved an afternoon off after going through Oliver's wardrobe and putting aside all his out-grown clothes and then organising ALL his reading books and putting them away. Plus, re-sorting all his Thomas the Tank Engine boxes - yes, I said boxes. They now all fit into his storage unit and he has been told they have to be put away after his is finished playing with them (I'm talking to a 4 year old here!) LOL It is pre-school day tomorrow so there won't be a mess until late in the afternoon when he comes home.
Anyway, back to my card! Can you see the acetate acting as the window on the car! How cool is that!
I have also photographed the recipe box I told you about back in December so once I edit the photos, I will post them. I'm pleased with the result but I feel it is missing something - maybe you can tell me what!
Happy Stamping,

Hi Kylie,
The card is great. It could use a road for the car to be driving on! Just a shadow under each of the wheels should do the trick. This will ground the truck and make it look more realistic (in my humble opinion!!). Hope this is helpful.
Glad you are creating again. Looking forward to meeting you soon!
