Merry Christmas To You All......

I wanted to wish everyone a very merry Christmas for today.  I hope you have a wonderful day be it with family and or friends.

MERRY CHRISTMAS - mwah!

I've always loved the Christmas season and it was even better once my son was born as I got to see the joy in his eyes and the smile on his face when opening up his presents.  As he is the only grandchild on both sides of the family, he is the center of attention but we make sure he appreciates each and every gift he is given.

Christmas Money Folder

For Christmas this year my brother has asked for money to go towards a new couch.  So, I needed to make up a folder to put the money in!

I got the idea for the santa face from Dawn Griffith. 

I have used my diamond stickles on santa's hat to give him some sparkle!!  LOL

Embrace Life

I made this card for my best friend's birthday last week.

Green in not my usual colour to go with but I've seen my friend wear green and also seeing as I only have the bold brights crayon family, I went with the greens.

If you've been reading my blog, you'll know that I'm not the best colourer (a new word for you!) but I picked up some tips while at our INKlings Christmas get together and thought I would give water colouring another go.  How did I do?  Only the flower is coloured in, I then cut it out and adhered on the whisper white cardstock.

Say It With Scallops

This card is from my lovely friend Kari!  Hey girl!

I really love embossing and the effect it gives.  Unfortunately, most of my craft stuff is in a suitcase and I find it a pain to go through to find things.  We are moving in early January so I have put things away to make it easier - luckily we aren't moving very far but I will be able to set myself up properly and get back into stamping.  I feel it has been a long time since I stamped properly (apart from my Christmas cards) and even longer since I participated in challenges.

Oooops!

I thought I had scheduled some posts but obviously I didn't!  Oops!

I wanted to show you the wonderful cards I received from the swap I was involved in with my fellow INKlings.

The first one I wanted to show you is from Lin Mei.  I finally met Lin Mei last night at the INKlings Christmas get together!  Thanks for a great night everyone!

I love the technique she used.

I don't own this set as it just never really appealed to me but I have loved all the cards I've seen made with Ocean Commotion.

Hunter Valley

I won't be around for the next few days.  We decided very late in the day to go to the Hunter Valley for a little break.  We are here until Sunday and having a great time.  We are staying at the Eaglereach Wilderness Resort.  We have kangaroos right outside our lodge roaming free.  Oliver is loving it.

Summer Mini Swap

I have beendoing some swaps with the INKlings (my upline's team).  The latestI was involved in was the Summer Mini Swap where we had to use stamps from the new mini catalogue.  I bought the In The Stars set and then thought, 'what am I going to do?'.  Naturally, I went over to SCS and had a look there.  I found one I liked and CASEd it.  Now, I know you are going to ask me who the talented lady is......I will go back and try to find it again so I can give this lady the credit she deserves.

So, what do you think?  I sooooo love brown and pink together!  Have a look at that wide (1") double stitched grosgrain ribbon - lovely!! The ribbon comes in 3 colours (Bashful Blue, Rose Red and the Chocolate Chip).

The lovely stars.  This stamp set would be great for kids cards, baby cards or even a congratulations card. 

See that scalloped edge along the bottom?  That is made with the new scallop edge punch.  It is so quick and easy to use.

Once I receive my swaps back, I will post them to show you just how talented the other ladies are!

Bye, Bye Spring, Hello Summer!

Today is the official start to the Australian summer.  It is also the start of the Summer Mini!

The summer Mini runs from the 1st December 2008 until the 31st March 2009.

All the stamp sets in this mini are die cut for your convenience.  That means no trimming is required!  All you need to do is peel away the adhesive backing and position the stamp on the wooden block!  Simple.
